1986
Church Established

The church was established on September 7, 1986 as Independent Bible Baptist Church. Since the church did not have a building at that time, they met at Union Hill Methodist Church. Bro. Morland Ezell was the pastor.
A Church Building
1988
In 1988, marking a pivotal moment in the church’s journey, the congregation of the then-named Independent Bible Baptist Church made the transformative decision to establish a permanent home. This vision led them to the scenic and welcoming community of Leoma, TN, where they chose 20 Idaho Rd as the site for their future gatherings and remains the church site today. This decision not only signified the church’s commitment to growth and stability but also symbolized a new chapter of fellowship and divine service in a place they could call their own.

1994-1995
New Beginnings

After eight years of serving, in 1994, Bro. Morland Ezell resigned as Pastor of Independent Bible Baptist Church.
In April of 1995 Bro. T.R. Williams was voted in as the new Pastor.
The Name We Know
1996
In 1996 a fellowship hall was added to the church. Then, on August 2, 1998, the church voted to change the name from “Independent Bible Baptist Church” to “Christian Fellowship Church.”

2007
The Sanctuary

In 2007 a new 3,200 square foot sanctuary was added to the church. Over the years we have seen many changes but the one thing that remains the same is the awesome presence of God.
